The Peyton Anderson Foundation Grants

Grants benefiting Macon and Bibb County, Georgia, with a preference for projects that produce measurable and lasting results, demonstrate sustainability, and collaborate with other nonprofit organizations to address community issues through innovative and efficient approaches. Eligible applicants: Applicants must be organizations qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, eligible to receive charitable contributions under Section 170(c), as modified by Sections 2055(a) and 2522(a), and not private foundations.; Grant applications from out of state will not be considered.; Grants may not be made to individuals.; Applicants must completely execute the Foundation's proposal form and supply the required documentation.; Organizations may not apply for funding more frequently than once every 12 months.; Organizations that receive funding are not eligible to apply for additional funding for at least 24 months.; Organizations receiving multi-year grants may not reapply until 12 months after the final grant payment.; Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.; General operations are usually not funded, although specific operational purposes such as initial start-up funds may be considered if the organization documents organizational capacity, sustainability, and future measurable results.; Private schools are usually not funded.; Sports-related events are usually not funded.; Endowments are usually not funded.; Churches are usually not funded.; Festivals and trips are usually not funded.; Sponsorships are usually not funded.; Grant funds may not be used for political lobbying.; The online application must include the executive director's electronic signature.; The application narrative must summarize the organization's history, mission, and goals and describe its current programs, activities, and accomplishments.; The application must state the grant's purpose, the needs or problems to be addressed, the target population, and how that population will benefit.; The application must provide project goals, measurable objectives, an implementation timetable, and indicate whether the project is new or ongoing.; The application must identify other partners and their roles, if any.; The application must explain long-term funding strategies for the project after the grant period.; The application must explain how success will be defined and measured, how evaluation results will be used, and, when appropriate, how the program will be replicated.; The application must identify similar projects or agencies, explain how the proposal differs, and describe efforts to cooperate.; The application must include a project budget summary showing all revenue sources and expenses.; Two letters of support are required and must be submitted according to the application's instructions.; At least two estimates are required when appropriate for the project.; A statement from the organization's board authorizing the request and agreeing to complete the funded project is required.; Applicants must provide a list of their board members or trustees, including terms of office, affiliations, and individual percentages of participation in board meetings.; Every application must include a detailed current annual organizational operating budget showing all income, revenue, and expenses; bank statements must not be used.; Applicants must provide a valid current IRS qualification letter confirming Section 501(c)(3) status and that the organization is not a private foundation; the letter must be dated within the last ten years.; Applicants must provide their most recent independently audited annual financial statement or Parts I and IV of their two most recently completed IRS Forms 990.; Applicants must not submit forms or information beyond the stated requirements unless the Foundation requests more information.; Applicants must not personally approach a Foundation trustee; all requests, meetings, and correspondence must go through the Foundation office..
