What GrantCue does not do

So you can rule us out in two minutes instead of two weeks.

  • Discover includes the open programs of a limited set of foundations and corporate funders. Saved searches, alerts and fit scoring work on those listings like any other.
  • GrantCue also publishes a free public directory of private-foundation profiles built from IRS 990-PF filings, with giving history and whether each funder accepts unsolicited applications. It is not yet a foundation prospecting workflow: nothing matches your organization against that directory, and there are no saved searches or contact tracking for those profiles.
  • If deep foundation prospecting is your main need, Instrumentl or Candid will still serve you better.
  • There is no fund accounting, and no donor-restriction or net-asset tracking. GrantCue is not a replacement for QuickBooks, Sage Intacct or your accounting system.
  • There is no donor CRM and no Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Virtuous sync available to customers today.
  • Amounts entered for spend and match are hand-entered; nothing syncs from an accounting system.

Is GrantCue free for nonprofits?

There is a permanently free plan open to everyone. Beyond that, nonprofits and state associations take 25% off any paid plan with code NONPROFIT at checkout. There is no application and no paperwork; enter the code when you upgrade.

We are a 501(c)(6) association, or a congregation without a determination letter. Can we use the code?

The NONPROFIT code is for nonprofits and state associations and is not limited to 501(c)(3) organizations. Nothing is verified at checkout, so there is no determination letter to send. If you are unsure whether your organization counts, email support@grantcue.com.

Does GrantCue find foundation grants?

Partly. Discover covers Grants.gov plus 105 state and state-agency sources across 47 states and the District of Columbia, plus the open programs of a limited set of foundations and corporate funders, and recommendations and fit scoring work on those listings like any other. The free public foundation directory shows what private foundations give, from IRS 990-PF filings. GrantCue does not yet match your organization against that directory or prospect foundations for you, so many teams pair it with a prospecting tool for that.
