Grants for Nonprofits in Maryland

Maryland offers two state tools for finding funding. Maryland Community Compass, a free state platform, includes a database of public and private funding sources, and the Governor's Grants Office keeps a resource library of grant opportunities from state agencies. GrantCue reads Community Compass and Maryland Humanities, plus programs from Baltimore City and Harford and Montgomery counties.

For one-on-one help, the Department of Commerce's Nonprofit Navigator assists grantseekers and sends a monthly list of opportunities. Arts groups should also know their county arts agency: Maryland's county arts agencies support local arts activity with funding from the Maryland State Arts Council.
