In the narrative describing the project, the entity should state the start-up date of the project and the estimated completion date of the project. The entity is to inform the foundation of the success of the project and provide appropriate pictures. In addition to the letter of request, the tax exempt entity should enclose the following documents: 1. List of the entity's current officers and board of directors. 2. Copy of entity's 501(c)(3) determination letter. 3. Entity's last year end financial statements. 4. Entity's last form 990 or form 990-ez submitted to the IRS.
Restrictions
The foundation's charitable purpose seeks to support and promote the cultivation and growth of forests as a natural resource, and to support and promote educational activities which develop and implement systematic forest management information for the production of timber products and at the same time promote conservation of such natural resources, and to foster ecological development of co-existence between timber resources and distributions of human, social and cultural patterns. The foundation also considers scientific and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3). Priority is given to auburn university's college of forestry,wildlife and environment; southern preparatory academy; and government and related agencies, education systems and charitable entities, all within covington county, al.
