Applicants may seek general operating support or project-specific support, including planning and innovation, implementation, or scaling activities. The majority of grants are twelve to eighteen months, and the Foundation is generally not providing multi-year grants at this time. Eligible applicants: Ideas must align with the Foundation's program areas in Conservation, Economic Development, Economic Mobility, or Health & Well-Being.; Economic Development, Economic Mobility and Health & Well-Being proposals must have an Allegheny and/or Westmoreland County focus.; Organizations do not need to be based in Allegheny or Westmoreland counties, but applicable projects must serve the required counties.; The organization must have a valid U.S. IRS Tax ID; applications on behalf of individuals or from outside the United States are not considered.; If an organization uses a fiscal sponsor, the fiscal sponsor must submit the application and the requested organizational and financial information, clearly identifying itself as fiscal sponsor and the agency leading the work.; General operating support is not available to postsecondary institutions or research institutions.; Indirect expenses may be included only if the applicant is not a postsecondary or research institution.; The Foundation will not fund ideas that include regranting to individuals.; Regranting from a lead agency to other agencies may be funded only when those agencies are identified in the submission as collaboration participants and the regranted funds solely support the described collaborative activities.; Collaborative proposals must include signed MOUs, letters of support, or other documents showing a commitment to participate.; Each application submitted alongside an RFP application must be substantively different from the others.; The Foundation does not fund lobbying, advocacy, or political causes or events, and prohibits funding terrorist activities..
