Supports educational, health, arts, and recreational causes and projects with broad community support that are enduring and sustainable. Most contributions range from $500 to $10,000, but this is not a hard award range. Eligible applicants: The Foundation contributes primarily to organizations in the Chippewa Valley in Northwestern Wisconsin.; The Foundation cannot make grants to individuals.; Applicants must provide a Federal or State document proving the organization’s nonprofit status.; At least a 1:1 match of funds is required; the match may include earned, contributed, or in-kind income.; Documentation of contributions secured to date must be provided before consideration will be given.; Requests for general operating support are not considered.; Applicants must submit a one-to-two page letter of inquiry on the organization’s letterhead containing: contact name, phone number, and email; the organization’s legal name; an organizational overview; the proposed project or intended use of funds; the need for the proposed project; its relation to the Foundation’s areas of interest; the total project cost, requested amount, and funding already secured; and whether the organization has previously received Foundation support.; Applicants may submit a full proposal only if the organization and project are of interest to the Foundation and the applicant is invited to do so.. From the foundation's site: "Although requests for contributions are considered and budgeted throughout the entire year on a rolling basis, actual disbursement of funds typically occurs at the end of February, at the conclusion of the Foundation’s fiscal year."
