- THERE ARE FORMAL GUIDELINES AND AN APPLICATION PROCESS FOR GRANTS. THE ORIGINAL AND PAPER CLIPPED COPES OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED: 1.) GRANT APPLICATION 2.) BOARD LIST 3.) GRANT PROPOSAL NARRATIVE 4.) IF ANOTHER PROGRAM, A PROGRESS REPORT MUST BE SUBMITTED AS PART OF THEIR NEW GRANT PROPOSAL 5.) ONE COPY OF THE IRS 501(C)(3) LETTER DETERMINING TAX-EXEMPT STATUS. THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING AND THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GRANT PROPOSAL NARRATIVE ARE ATTACHED.

- THE FOUNDATION'S OBJECTIVE IS TO CONDUCT, OPERATE AND CARRY ON ACTIVITIES TO BENEFIT ONLY PEOPLE IN THE STATES OF ALABAMA, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, LOUISIANA AND MISSISSIPPI. THE FOUNDATION MAKES GRANTS TO ONLY LOCAL NON-PROFIT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS IN THOSE AREAS WHICH FOCUS ON HUNGER, WOMEN AND CHILDREN, HEALTH AND EDUCATION INITIATIVES. THE FOUNDATION MAY PUT RESOURCES INTO PROJECTS OF ITS OWN CREATION. IN MAKING GRANT DECISIONS, THE FOUNDATION SEEKS TO SUPPORT INITIATIVES THAT FOSTER SIGNIFICANT VALUE WHICH LASTS BEYOND THE FUNDING PERIOD. THE FOUNDATION WILL NOT CONSIDER REQUESTS FOR MULTI-YEAR COMMITMENTS, CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS OR GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT.
