Grants for Nonprofits in New Hampshire
New Hampshire funds some arts and heritage work through its license plates. The State Council on the Arts makes Conservation License Plate grants, known as Moose Plate grants, to conserve publicly owned artworks and to make historic cultural facilities and their programs more accessible to the public.
The Council's competitive grants are decided by peer panels, and grants above set amounts also need approval from the Governor and Executive Council. GrantCue reads the Community Development Finance Authority's yearly list of application deadlines; other state funding is announced by individual agencies, and New Hampshire's community foundations run their own cycles.
