The United Way of Greater Niagara Inc Grants

Funding for youth development programs that positively impact social, emotional, and mental development in Greater Niagara. Maximum funding available per request is $20,000. Organizations wishing to request more must contact United Way in advance. Funds are distributed in monthly installments set by the application review committee. The amount granted may not reflect the amount requested. Eligible applicants: Current section 501(c)3 status as determined by the Internal Revenue Service; Program is located within Niagara County or the City of Tonawanda; Program aligns with United Ways area of focus with measurable outcomes; Maximum funding available per request is $20,000; Should an organization wish to submit a request for more than the maximum amount, they must contact United Way in advance to discuss their application; Distribution of funds (monthly installments) will be determined by the application review committee; the amount of funds granted may not reflect the amount requested; As a provision of accepting funding, organizations must provide a mid-year evaluation/program review demonstrating that funds were used for the intended purpose; As a provision of accepting funding, organizations must include UWGN in marketing/promotion of the funded program (i.e. program site, social media, newsletters, press releases, and website) utilizing the United Way logo and/or in text: “This program is funded with support from United Way of Greater Niagara.”; Applications may be submitted by email, mail, or delivered in person to the United Way office, Monday-Friday between 8a – 3p.
