Funds energy-efficiency, accessibility and safety improvements at nonprofit-operated Volunteer Income Tax Assistance clinics serving economically distressed communities. Program dates and awards may be delayed or adjusted if HUD funding is paused or reduced. Eligible applicants: Must provide services in Southern Nevada (Clark, Nye, Esmeralda, Lincoln Counties).; Must demonstrate clear impact on UWSN funding priorities and or program-specific objectives.; Must be a nonprofit organization, public charity, or supporting organization (501c3, 509a1, 509a2, 509a3).; Must be a nonprofit organization in good standing with the State of Nevada.; Must provide a complete and correct application.; The project targets VITA clinics operated by nonprofits, benefiting eligible populations within Congressional District 3 and surrounding areas.; Proposed projects must align with improving energy efficiency and accessibility.; All funded activities must meet HUD Section 3 requirements.; All funded activities must meet federal labor standards.; All funded activities must meet Build America, Buy America Act requirements.; The portal states that organizations and individual applicants can apply, while the shared funding criteria require nonprofit, public-charity or supporting-organization status..
