Fast funding for charitable organizations serving Huntington County when an unforeseen, unexpected need comes up that cannot wait for the next grant cycle. Grants are $1,500 or less. For projects costing more than $1,500, grants may be given as the 'last-dollar-in'. Funds are limited each year and awarded first come, first served. Eligible applicants: Charitable organizations only. Any charitable organization or cause serving Huntington County can apply.; Organizations or causes without an approved IRS 501(c)(3) charitable status need a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor to act as grant administrator.; Organizations are limited to one immediate needs grant per calendar year.; The project's cost must be unforeseeable and unexpected. Requests that are not time sensitive or do not need a grant decision within five business days will be denied.; Requests for the organization's regular budget do not qualify.; Applications are judged on the project's merit and immediate purpose. Priority goes to applicants that give a thoughtful, reasonable explanation of why the project is time sensitive and needs a decision within 5 business days.; Grant amounts are less than or equal to $1,500.
